Well, we’re looking for people to help us with different aspects of running our Yarmouth County Dot Com online Web Presence.
“What exactly are we looking for?”
Well, first priority will be given to those in Yarmouth County and surrounding areas of Nova Scotia, Canada. Ideally you’ll share our passion for promoting Yarmouth County and surrounding areas and providing information and resources for the residents, businesses, and visitors, to Yarmouth County and surrounding areas.
However, we are willing to work with anyone, especially if you’re familiar with what we do, who we are, and what we’re trying to accomplish!
“Will I have to travel or leave home to do this?” you ask.
No, not at all …
We are actually looking for you to stay home, use your own computer, and learn online! Learning by doing is the best way to remember and be able to apply the skills you’ll learn in your own ventures later on.
“Yes”, you say, “but what exactly is it I’ll be doing?”
Well, with our help, and under our supervision, you’ll be helping to promote Yarmouth County and surrounding areas by doing everything from contacting churches, non-profits, and businesses, to let them know about our products and services, to helping provide customer support services both on and off line, to helping us with Web Site Design, Blogging, Pod Casting, Online Conferencing, perhaps even Online Broadcasting, and much, much, more!
“Yes, but do I really have the ability?” you wonder!
Well, bear in mind that about ten years ago I began my journey online with no skills nor understanding of the online world!Slowly and sometimes painfully I trudged along till I finally began to discover what programs and methods work best. Now I’m willing to share those with you in exchange for a few hours of your time!
“Yes”, you say, “but I don’t have a lot of time!”
I know how busy life can be, I also know that unless we find time to learn new skills and keep up-to-date on things around us that we will be left behind! So, I’m willing to work with you; to accommodate your schedule as long as you can set aside a few hours each week on a regular basis.
So on what other basis are you going to learn what you need to learn to succeed online!? You could do what I did and take ten years to learn it on your own, or perhaps spend a few thousand dollars to learn it in a school, or you can let me teach you what I know!
“So what is it you know?” you ask!
Well, I’ve done my home work! I’ve laboured online for over 10 year to get to where I am! Yet in the past two years I’ve created and launched YarmouthCounty.com, learned to Blog, learned to Pod Cast, and much more, all in order to promote Yarmouth County and surrounding areas and to someday help other people like you!
“Yes, I get that but what have you accomplished?” you ask.
Well, in addition to what I’ve already mentioned, I now run a few Web Sites, the most successful one and the one I concentrate on the most is YarmouthCounty.com which I’ve helped to generate over 100,000 visitors, in just under two years, and currently generates over 50,000 visits per month!
“So, why not just hire people to help you?” you ask.
Well, having you do it is free! Well, no not really! Well, it might not cost me a lot of money to have you help us, but it does take serious time to train someone new. Bsides remember what I said about wanting to help other people to succeed? If I were to hire someone, and I could, they would have no real vested interest in what they were doing! for them it would just be another job! However, for you, it will be an accomplishment for a person who truly wants to learn something.
