I watched with sadness as the Yarmouth Market was all but run out of our local Toulon owned Mall a couple years ago. In fact I was one of many marketers who was stuck with no place to sell my stock after the Mall demanded, with little notice to market organizers, a substantially higher rate of rent for the space occupied by the market. At the time the Market organizers were left with little if any option to close the Market. Thus for the past couple of years Yarmouth has been without what has been seen as a viable Market for most vendors.
However, thanks to organizers like Sidney Tabb owner of L & S Video, Yarmouth will once again have a Market!
According to Sid the new Yarmouth Market, to be held out side at the Mariners Center, will be unlike any Market ever seen in Yarmouth!
The Market will have a variety of food, farm, craft, and other vendors as well as games for kids, and musical entertainment for the entire family! This Market will provide a true family entertainment experience and become a great place to meet and support local entertainers, musicians, and market producers.
The Market has the support of the Mariners Center and the Town of Yarmouth and with great people like Sidney Tabb at the helm it promises to be a great experience for all who attend!
