The second person, or studio, listed on the Yarmouth’s Working Studios Brochure is Brenda Doucette and her Studio, Acadian Glass Art.
Brenda Doucette established Acadian Glass Art as a design studio for the production of stained glass artwork.
Brenda’s life was changed when she fell in love with the beauty of stained glass. Her heart was filled with wonder of a new spectrum when the light of the sun shone in. It is this love of stained glass and a love for art and design that have coupled together bringing about the love and passion with which Acadian Glass Art was born.
Stained glass design is a detailed process utilizing various combinations of color and shapes in the production of the final work that takes on a life of its own when completed.
In fact the full beauty of a piece and the magnificence thereof is only truly seen when it is used to shine it’s splendour upon your heart and home.
Within Brenda’s Studio, produced artwork is placed on display for pubic viewing and purchase. Many of the works available have themes rooted in Acadian traditions that are strong in this region. Thus the name Acadian Glass Art.
Upon entering the studio one is captivated by the many works that are available on display. In addition to the displayed pieces, Brenda creates beautiful customized works of art to complete her customers orders. The customized creations are artfully produced based on the design and ideas of your choosing.
Brenda’s works have inspired many people to take a more active interest in stained glass. Thus students of Stained Glass seek Brenda out as a skilled teacher.
So, if you’re looking for a new hobby? Wanting to express yourself in new ways, or want to improve your current skill level, take time to visit Brenda at Acadian Glass Art where she teaches various lessons and conducts numerous workshops.
Whether you are a hobbyist or a serious artist, Stained Glass is lots of fun for the whole family.
So, if you’re looking for a great creation for yourself, someone you know, or you’re interested in the making of your own creations, Brenda invites you to visit her in her Acadian Glass Art Studio at 357 Main St. in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
