Quarter Million Visits To Yarmouth County

At a time when most website owners are talking about the number of Hits they receive, Brian Hurlburt of YarmouthCounty.com is smiling at the record number of visits the website is receiving.
In 2007 alone Hurlburt has managed to bring over 100,000 people (unique visitors) to the Yarmouth County based website.
Obviously Hurlburt has created a Site that people enjoy as the average visitor returns 2 to 3 times resulting in over 266,000 visits in 2007 alone!
When asked why he does this Hurlburt replied, “I started the Site after growing tired of the way people were treated down here!”
When asked what he meant by that, Hurlburt explains how there were years when Yarmouth was literally left of the tourism maps!
“I just wanted to do my part to promote the area and the people we have here”, says Hurlburt. “I’ve traveled over 38 US States and all the Canadian Provinces and none have anything any better than what we offer right here!” He continues.
To spend time with Mr. Hurlburt one quickly learns of his enthusiasm for Yarmouth County and surrounding areas of Nova Scotia.
When asked to what he contributes the success of YarmouthCounty.com Hurlburt replies, “We have a lot to offer in Yarmouth County and by building relationships with local groups, the arts community, and others we’ve developed a lot of loyal friends and supporters. It’s really their efforts and willingness to spread the word that keeps us going and makes us so popular.”
Hurlburt may play down his own talents but any webmaster who’s pulling in over 1.5 million hits per year has obviously taken time to do things right.
Surely Yarmouth County and surrounding areas will benefit from the efforts of this dedicated local resident and is lucky to have such a person and such an amazing online presence to promote the Yarmouth County area.
YarmouthCounty.com is definitely one website to keep our eyes on as time goes on.

I agree that Yarmouth area has so much to offer and needs to be put on the map more. I certainly enjoy every opportunity to get back for a visit,as well as encourage people here in the South to visit Nova Scotia.
