TREPA News: Carpool Yarmouth

As many of you may remember TREPA prepared a Transportation Study during the summer of 2007.
Part of that study was the creation of “Carpool Yarmouth” a forum for drivers and riders looking to carpool within Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, and surrounding areas.
The Carpool Forum is set up as an interactive venue where both those looking for riders, and riders, looking for rides can come together and connect.
This free service is designed to bring carpool participants together allowing users to register for free and communicate with each other via the Carpool Forum.
Some of you may remember an earlier Blog Post/Article under the TREPA News Category about the Yarmouth Transportation Study which was prepared by Brendon Smith in conjunction with Meaghan Pitman. They were helping TREPA last summer through the Nova Scotia Youth Conservation Corps under the direction of Paul Goldring. (Read More About the Transportation Study)
Recently TREPA made the following announcement via theTREPA Newsletter;
” Started last summer by our student workers, the carpool access site has now been incorporated into Yarmouth County’s premier public information website giving it wide exposure, maintenance, and easy of usability by potential ride sharers. To get to the site all users need to do is go to yarmouthcounty.com/carpool and make use of the connection.
